Restoring the Balance: Science Solutions for a Climate-Resilient Future

This session reframes the global climate response from reactively managing impacts to actively regenerating the planet. Bringing together climate scientists, ecologists, policymakers, and community leaders from iYunivesithi Walter Sisulu, University of Namibia and the Department of Water and Sanitation, it translates Earth-system science into practical solutions that restore ecosystems and strengthen resilience across ocean, freshwater, and land systems. Through expert presentations and a panel dialogue, participants will co-develop scalable regeneration pathways across global, regional, and local scales, and help shape a synthesis report, actionable pathways, and a co-endorsed Action Statement.
