The Democracy Futures Dialogue | UNGA81 Edition, convened as a side event during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, in partnership with The Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice and Partnerships for Integrity, is a high-level public policy forum examining how democratic institutions and citizens are responding to an era of heightened disruption.

Themed “Reimagining Democracy in an Era of Heightened Disruption: Technology, Trust, the People, and Turning Points,” the Dialogue will explore the relationship between technology, trust, institutions, and citizens, with particular attention to how democratic institutions can remain accountable, inclusive, and responsive amid rapid political and technological change.

The event will bring together policymakers, civil society organisations, technology experts, legal practitioners, researchers and other stakeholders to examine practical responses to emerging democratic challenges, while protecting human rights, sustaining public trust and enabling meaningful citizen participation.
