From Architecture to Action in Africa: Leveraging COP32 for Climate-Resilient Health Systems

Amref Health Africa and Health Care Without Harm will convene senior leaders from governments, climate-finance institutions, philanthropy, technical agencies, and civil society to identify the investment and partnerships required to build climate-resilient, low-carbon health systems in Africa.

The dialogue will focus on converting existing climate and health commitments into financed implementation, strengthening the capacity of health professionals and institutions, and building momentum from COP31 through COP32 and beyond.

Financing, not planning, is now the principal barrier to climate-resilient health systems. Africa’s COP32 must leave implementation capacity in place, not another set of commitments.
