A Well-Being Concert

On the occasion of UNGA Healing Arts Week, join us for a well-being concert and reception recognizing the healing power of the arts in times of war. Enjoy an uplifting and unifying Well-Being Concert led by Grammy-nominated and NAACP Image Award–winning jazz, soul, and pop vocalist Somi. With her transatlantic, electro-acoustic blend of genres and sonic storytelling, Somi’s musical world is easy to get lost in—an ideal match for Carnegie Hall’s unique series of concerts that combine live music with explorations of mindfulness and self-care.

The event is presented by Carnegie Hall as part of UNGA Healing Arts Week(opens in a new tab), a New York City-wide celebration of arts and health by the Jameel Arts & Health Lab(opens in a new tab) in collaboration with the World Health Organization. Major support for UNGA Healing Arts Week comes from the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund and Music Man Foundation.

At the concert, audience members can choose from a variety of casual and comfortable seating options, with mats, cushions, and chairs all available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Following the concert, there will be a special reception co-hosted by Community Jameel and War Child Alliance, recognizing the healing power of art in times of war, and marking the 30th anniversary of the UN mandate on Children and Armed Conflict.

The Reception will take place in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Terrace Room and iconic rooftop Weill Terrace (weather permitting).
