FORWARD: Connecting Black and Diaspora-African Professionals

FORWARD is a one-day networking event designed to empower Black/African professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives by providing a platform to connect, learn, and thrive. Through FORWARD, we foster meaningful connections, share valuable opportunities, and inspire actionable steps to help our community advance.

Brought to you by Beyond Borders Network, a global platform committed to connecting Black and Diaspora-African professionals with the resources and networks necessary for career and business success, FORWARD also serves as a bridge for global companies seeking top talent from the African continent.

Background
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8), which aims to promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all, FORWARD recognizes the importance of narrating our own stories as Blacks and Africans in the Diaspora. This event serves as a dedicated space to celebrate Black excellence, build connections, learn from one another, and cultivate opportunities for our community to thrive.

Theme: Our Stories, Our Platforms
By centering the theme “”Our Stories, Our Platforms,”” FORWARD underscores the power of self-representation and the importance of creating and owning platforms that amplify Black and Diverse voices. The event aims to inspire and equip participants to drive economic development and empowerment within our communities, contributing to the broader goals of sustainable development by promoting inclusive growth and employment opportunities.
