2024 New York Climate Week Side Event – Financing Carbon Management
This invitation-only New York Climate Week Side Event is co-hosted by the Global CCS Institute, the Clean Air Task Force, and the CEM CCUS Initiative.
Global deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects has increased following enabling policy development and support in North America, Europe, and other regions. Although the pace continues to accelerate, innovative financing methods and global collaboration between countries are needed to help close remaining gaps for CCS deployment. This half-day event will feature panels discussing innovative approaches for financing industrial decarbonization, and the role of multilateral development banks and other nationally funded support. The event will also feature a panel that discusses the status and ambitions of the Carbon Management Challenge (CMC).
