The UN Group of Friends to Eliminate Hepatitis – 3rd Annual Meeting
In 2022, the United Nations Group of Friends to Eliminate Hepatitis was created by the missions of Member States in collaboration with the WHO and the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination. The Group of Friends serves as the UN forum for the exchange of information, progress updates, and lessons learned in the global fight against hepatitis. Comprising Member States, UN agencies, and other key stakeholders, the Group of Friends leverages collective influence to drive UN resolutions, special events, and actionable initiatives. With a focus on raising diplomatic awareness and fostering collaboration, the Group of Friends plays a crucial role in advancing hepatitis elimination efforts worldwide.
This year, under the theme “Partnerships & Health Diplomacy for Elimination of Hepatitis”, the meeting will convene Member States, UN Missions, UN agencies, Ministries of Health, and international organizations committed to galvanizing diplomatic efforts towards mobilizing resources, fostering international collaboration, and driving sustainable progress in the global fight against hepatitis.
