GRI Roundtable Climate Change
During the New York Climate Week, GRI will host an exclusive close door Roundtable event with the aim to discuss the major changes to the new GRI Climate Change and Energy Standards with some of the most experienced Community member and the experts of the GRI Climate Technical Committee. The event aims to strike a balance between presentations and interactive elements. Several organizations like GHG Protocol, regulators, UNEP-FI, UK TPT, WWF, SBTi, Orsted, and Microsoft will give introductory presentation on the critical subtopics related to the new draft disclosures. Next all, participants will be discussing challenges, strengths or weaknesses of the various new draft disclosures in the standards. We would like to test and hear feedback on the new impact reporting disclosures topics such scope 3 accounting, target-setting and organizational boundaries, transition strategies, just transition and carbon credits. It is the opportunity to discuss and give final inputs to the Technical Committee to finalize open issues after which the publication of the GRI Standards in Q1 2025.
