The Power of Entertainment: Driving Social Change Through Storytelling

The Impact Lounge is hosting an inspiring (2) 1/2 days of sessions, with the gracious support of the UN Development Program centering on the power of entertainment. This event purposefully bridges the conclusion of UNGA month, and the beginning of the New York Film Festival, because we see a vital connection between changemakers and filmmakers.

The Lounge launched at the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals as a hub for funders, creatives, social entrepreneurs and NGOs. Our program provides a spotlight for meaningful entertainment, case studies and methods to create positive change. We believe entertainment has the power to not only generate awareness, and drive narrative change but also provide fuel to the important work being done by people and organizations around the globe.

Speakers include:

  • Ian Bremmer President and Founder, the Eurasia Group and GZERO Media
  • Peter Glatzer Film Producer, Co-Founder SHFT, Director and Producer UN short film series
  • Kaitlin Yarnall Chief Storytelling Officer, National Geographic Society
