A virtual visit to the Eden Project, England with YESfest
La Scuola d’Italia New York aims to develop curious, knowledgeable, and principled individuals who help to shape a more peaceful world through multicultural leadership and respect.
YES-fest.com introduces 8 to 11-year-old children to peer networks and gives them a supportive community, practical tools and resources in festival-like summits in order to become next generation stewards of our planet.
The Eden Project is the world’s largest indoor rainforest, located in the far South West of England. Eden is also a growing movement of global citizens, reconnecting people with nature, demonstrating and communicating positive change and inspiring advocates of action.
At this special event for New York Climate Week, 8-11 year old young people in and around New York are invited to join students from La Scuola d’italia as they attend part of YESfest Eden – a two day youth eco summit and festival at the Eden Project, England.
This tour will showcase plants and their stories from all over the world that underpin our everyday lives, all housed in the magnificent biomes of the Eden Project. Eden was the venue where late Queen Elizabeth hosted the G7 leaders for a summit reception in 2021. Our summit tour will also explain some simple and effective ways all of us can be better stewards of the planet. There will also be opportunity for a short Q&A with the hosts at YESfest and the Eden Project
Please note, this is strictly a private live video event only for invited students ages 8-11 years old who are at school in and around NYC.
If you are an educator and would like to apply for your students to join this event, please get in touch from your school‘s email address with your name, school’s website and a brief description of how you hope the visit will support your students’ learning.
Please also note that to ensure a quality experience, places are limited to six students per school.
