Breaking the Resistance: Fighting AMR and TB together for a Healthy Future
Tuberculosis remains the world’s biggest infectious disease killer and drug-resistant TB is a major contributor to AMR deaths.
The event will bring together global health leaders ahead of the UN High-Level Meeting (HLM) on AMR to facilitate strategic discussions on how prioritize actions to put the world on track to end TB and AMR by 2030, and how the AMR and TB communities can build on each other’s strengths. In particular, it aims to highlight TB as a major part of the AMR agenda and increase understanding among leaders, policymakers and stakeholders about the critical intersection of AMR and TB and the necessity for increasing investments and collaboration on AMR and DR-TB research and implementation.
