Delivering Jobs for the Poor at Scale: Country Leadership and Partnership in Action

On the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly, co-hosted by the Government of the Republic of Zambia and the World Bank, this high-level event showcases bold, scalable solutions supported by the Jobs for the Poor Impact Program­ — proven approaches that combine income support with skills training, coaching, access to finance, and market linkages to unlock job opportunities, especially for women and youth.

The discussion will highlight why sustained investments in jobs for the poor are essential to achieving the SDGs and to meeting the World Bank’s SP500 goal: reaching 500 million people with social protection and employment support by 2030.
