Copenhagen Mayor of Environmental and Technical Affairs, Morten Kabell, is pleased to extend this personal invitation on behalf of The City of Copenhagen. As part of Climate Week NYC 2017, this conference aims at comparing Copenhagen’s solutions to stormwater management and sustainable urban development to that of progressive North American cities facing similar challenges. Over the past 10 years the City of Copenhagen has developed a unique public-private partnership model for solving many of its sustainable urban development challenges related to climate adaptation, energy efficiency, mobility and livability. Characteristic for the Copenhagen model is the integration of design and engineering, which originates from close ongoing dialogue between the City and its private partners. From the initial phase of identifying issues, to inception of solutions, implementation, and maintenance.
