On 21 September, 9:00-11:30 a.m. ET, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the UN Global Compact will co-host the 7th SDG Business Forum virtually, in connection with #UnitingBusiness LIVE, during the High-Level Week of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly.
As one of the most prestigious High-Level gatherings of business leaders at the United Nations, the SDG Business Forum offers a unique opportunity to drive pivotal momentum towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals – and leveraging the power of the private sector to contribute positively towards international priorities. This year’s programme will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue on the role of the private sector in co-creating lasting solutions for multiple crises in the short term and building a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient future while effectively managing global environmental commons. It will also provide an opportunity for business leaders to hear from members of the Independent Group of Scientists appointed by the Secretary-General to draft the upcoming 2023 Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR), which is mandated to inform the mid-term review of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs at the General Assembly next year.
