A Call for Accelerating Climate Action: What G20 Countries Should Do to Phase-out Coal by Phasing in Renewables
The Climate Transparency partnership is supporting the Acceleration Agenda of António Guterres by publishing Acceleration Calls for the G20 countries. The Calls include a stocktake based on the Climate Transparency Report 2022 and focus key recommendations identified by the country partners on how the G20 can accelerate climate action. In this event, the partners of Climate Transparency discuss what the G20 countries must prioritize in order to accelerate the coal phase-out by phasing in renewables. After an introduction, partners will give an overview on their recommendations and discuss how G20 countries should collaborate in for further accelerating the energy transition.
