This year – in-line with the wider UNGA theme of ‘Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity’, Africa Soft Power and African Women on Board@UNGA will be titled: ‘Convergence: Women’s leadership and Africa’s youth in a brave new world of disruptions’.

Focus areas:

  • Women’s leadership
  • Youth power
  • Climate equity

Also join us at the Climate Change Photo Essay Prize exhibition which showcases the winning entries of young African and Diaspora photographers who have skillfully depicted the profound impact of climate change on their communities. This exhibition serves as a significant platform for amplifying African perspectives on climate change and its repercussions within the continent. It marks the initial phase of our ‘Road to 100m Climate Soldiers in Africa’ campaign, a comprehensive initiative aimed at educating and empowering 100 million young Africans in the battle against climate change.

The exhibition will be open to the public starting Saturday, September 15th, at The Africa Center.

About Africa Soft Power

The Africa Soft Power Group is the umbrella platform for three organisations with mutual objectives: The Africa Soft Power Project, African Women on Board and ASP Global. Our overriding mission is to incorporate vital – and all too often still unseen – African perspectives into the global conversation, as well as strengthen connections with and between the global diaspora community. This is important not only for Africa itself, but the global economy at large, particularly at a time when a host of intersectional issues threaten future (and present) growth.
