
Biobanking in low-middle income countries: Bangladesh- a case study
The largest teaching hospital in Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has organized a session on the critical importance of developing biobanks in low-middle income countries. Several world biobanking leaders will speak on the importance of developing a world-class biobank in low-middle countries such as Bangladesh for the development of translational research capacities in their country. Representatives of BSMMU will also present in this session, to highlight their ability to host such facilities and demonstrate how this facility will help accelerate local translational research.
This Science Summit at UNGA77 session will take place at the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the United Nations, 820 2nd Ave 4th floor, New York, NY 10017 from 2.00 to 5.30 pm on Tuesday, 27th September 2023. The event will be hybrid, with people meeting at the Mission and others joining online. Registration is available here
