Add to Calendar September 18, 2023 2:00 pm September 18, 2023 5:00 pm America/New_York Boosting the Employability of Young People through Innovative Partnerships

Marking the mid-point in the timeline for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, 2023 sees the Goals painfully behind their targets, with a dire need for additional attention, prioritization, and resources to achieve their ambitions. A key tenet of the SDGs’ vision is that of cross-sectoral and innovative collaboration at a scale unseen before – the idea that the Goals would bring together unlikely partners to solve both local and global issues through joint values and shared visions. At the same time, we know that the education and skills gap and youth unemployment continue to be some of the main domino-effect issues that will impact our collective prosperity for generations to come.

In this gathering, we aim to bring the spotlight to some offbeat and unexpected collaborations, with a special focus on youth and skills, to both celebrate their success and out-of-the-box thinking but also to inspire and breathe new life into conversations around the SDGs and how to achieve them.

By marrying current SDG ambition with a generation of young people eager to build skills and opportunities for the future of their communities, we can build generations that enable a multiplier effect for innovation and employment.

*Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please pre-register for the event below, we will confirm registration in September.
