A diplomatic and civil society roundtable, featuring H.E Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and Chair of the Elders and lead Chair of Climate Governance Commission.

The Climate Governance Commission, will be present and represented in New York City for UNGA/Climate Week sharing perspectives on urgent recommended governance transformations equal to the climate emergency. The Commission is an independent body established to propose, and build partnerships that promote feasible, high-impact global governance solutions for urgent and effective climate action to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C or less. The diplomatic and civil society roundtable at the offices of the Baha’i International Community, “Governing the Planetary Emergency,” will feature Commission Chair Mary Robinson, and Co-Chair Maria Fernanda Espinosa, President of the 73rd General Assembly, also with H.E Danilo Türk, President of Club de Madrid on the importance of climate leadership, along with other Commissioners.

The work of the Commission and Chair Mary Robinson will also be featured at the Global Futures Conference 2023 on the 20th of September at the Javits Center.
