Cultivating change: Empowering farmers and corporations in regenerative agriculture
In cooperation with Carlsberg and Food Nation Denmark
Corporations, along with the rest of the value chain and the public sector can play a significant role in shaping agricultural practices and their impact on the environment, and for this reason the Royal Consulate General of Denmark, in collaboration with Carlsberg Group and Food Nation, will host a high-level panel session on regenerative agriculture.
This session aims to shed light on the transformative potential of large corporations in driving the green transition of agricultural systems worldwide, and how this potential can be fully realised with support from the public sector. We will hear about: The carbon and biodiversity opportunity by implementing regenerative agriculture; Farmer engagement and value chain collaboration; Methods and challenges associated with implementing regenerative agriculture at scale.
The session will facilitate an engaging dialogue that deepens our understanding of effective farmer engagement, adaptable methods for regenerative agriculture, and the implications of carbon taxes and credits. Through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and a collective commitment to sustainable agricultural practices, we can accelerate the transition towards regenerative agriculture, mitigate environmental impacts, and foster a resilient food system in a net zero future.
The session includes speakers:
Dan Jørgensen, Minister for Development Cooperation and Minister for Global Climate Policy
Kaveh Zahedi, Director for Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
Jacob Aarup-Andersen, CEO of Carlsberg Group
Jason Clay, Senior Vice President, Markets for World Wildlife Foundation (WWF)
Sara Farley, Vice president of Global Food Portfolio at The Rockefeller Foundation
Lise Walbom, CEO of Food Nation
