Co-hosted by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, World Obesity Federation and UNICEF, with support from Novo Nordisk.
This event, held on the side lines of the 2022 UN General Assembly will explore newly launched insight and analysis of the economic impact of obesity and discuss the implications of and opportunities for using this to advance global obesity policy implementation. Notably, the event will zone in on the new WHO Acceleration Plan and the resources that are needed to ensure effective implementation of the recommendations, and increase the chance of meaningful progress being made towards achieving the global targets in adults and children.
