Just 0.13% of the world’s financial response to COVID-19 has been allocated to multilateral appeals that support the most marginalised children and their families.

This is immoral, unjust and will cause an unprecedented child and youth rights crisis in the wake of the pandemic.

Yet if world leaders commit to ensuring a #FareShare4Children, just 20% of the first ‘economic stimulus package’ for the 20% of children living on $2 or less a day, over 70 million lives could be saved.

The UN celebrates its 75th Anniversary this year and there will undoubtedly be celebrations of global solidarity and the power of multilateralism it represents. Yet at the same time the most marginalised and vulnerable children have been left behind in the international response to COVID-19, and we risk losing an entire generation as a result.

As youth and student leaders we are angry at this injustice and call on the governments present at UNGA75 to put their money where their mouth is.

Join our virtual side event at 10am EDT / 2pm GMT / 4pm CEST /7:30pm IST to discuss how and why the COVID-19 response has been unjust, and most importantly, learn what you can do to change it.

Hear quick-fire remarks from youth and student leaders from across the world (and special guests!) on how COVID-19 has affected the most marginalised children and why a #FairShare4Children is so important.

Speaker list will be revealed on Monday 21st September.

Once you register we will send you the private Zoom event invitation and the links to follow live on Youtube.
