Pelham Bay Park is home to wetlands that contribute to climate resilience by reducing flood risk, mitigating heat impacts, and storing carbon. They’re a natural defense against extreme weather events, and they’re beautiful as well.

Spend your Saturday morning outside making tangible improvements to the natural environment by joining the New York-North Jersey chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club for a clean-up at Pelham Bay Park. AMC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to foster the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the outdoors. Since 1876 we’ve been working to protect the mountains, forests, waters, and trails you love in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The heart of our organization is the thousands of volunteers who host trips, skills workshops, and get-togethers for people who love to Be Outdoors.

Please register for this free event, and know that WE CAN protect our natural resources, and WE WILL ensure that they’re available for future generations to enjoy.
