According to Climate Action Tracker (CAT), “at their best, well-designed and ambitious net zero targets are key for reducing global carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions to net zero around 2050 and 2070 respectively.
This is necessary to keep to the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C temperature limit.” But, the CAT shows that today only 4/40 countries who’ve committed net zero targets have suitable plans to achieve net zero. This proving 73% of net zero targets are inefficient. This is not okay. Something needs to change to ensure a sustainable future. It’s going to take everyone – government, businesses, and people to do their part in finding a path to net zero. This event will bring together climate change policymakers, activists, and sustainability professionals for two days filled with discussion and demonstration on how you can accelerate the world’s path to net zero.
The program will include:
– Sessions led by sustainability influencers and policymakers driving change across the globe.
– Workshop on achieving net zero leveraging tools like the Climate Engagement Index led by Richard Harding of LiveTiles and My Net Zero CEO Tim Hodgson.
– Special launch events celebrating the Scope X community and mission for a more sustainable future. Why you should participate?
