The Heavy Lift: Getting It Done in Hard-to-Abate Sectors
Chemicals, concrete, steel, aluminum, copper and glass — as well as the shipping, aviation, and trucking that moves them—are the building blocks of the global economy. But all these sectors are currently responsible for 30%+ of greenhouse gas emissions, and that is projected to grow. To tackle the hardest to abate sectors, companies, investors, regulators, customers, suppliers and producers need to accelerate transitions across the broad ecosystem through open-source roadmaps and frameworks, collaboration, and creating a clear path to operationalize decarbonization strategies into day-to-day processes.
