Transforming Education Summit
The Transforming Education Summit is being convened in response to a global crisis in education – one of equity and inclusion, quality and relevance. Often slow and unseen, this crisis is having a devastating impact on the futures of children and youth worldwide. The Summit provides a unique opportunity to elevate education to the top of the global political agenda and to mobilize action, ambition, solidarity and solutions to recover pandemic-related learning losses and sow the seeds to transform education in a rapidly changing world.
On Friday 16 and Saturday 17 September, Member State delegates and their staff; staff members of the United Nations Secretariat and of the funds, programmes and agencies of the United Nations system; accredited media; and affiliates with a valid United Nations grounds pass (or a Laissez Passer where applicable) will be able to access UN headquarters complex and attend the Summit events.
All other actors (civil society, non-governmental organizations, the private sector etc) are required to register online to secure a special events ticket. Please see link to registration below.
On Monday 19 September, in-person access to Summit Leaders Day proceedings will be restricted to participants – whether member states, UN staff, accredited media, civil society or otherwise – who are in possession of a valid secondary access pass.
