The Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations and the UNDP Accelerator Lab Network are pleased to invite you to a high-level event on 16 September 2023 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm ET as part of the UN General Assembly 78 SDG Action Week in New York.
This high-level event, hosted by Her Excellency Ambassador Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani and opened by UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner will assemble investors, innovators and academia for a discussion on how open innovation can unleash new momentum for Agenda 2030.
Reaching 115 countries, the UNDP Accelerator Labs have been co-built with founding investors the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), with support from UNDP Partners at Core, the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Japan Cabinet.
The UNDP Accelerator Lab Network has been analyzed as a Harvard Business School Case Study and depicted in for Tomorrow, a documentary on grassroots innovation launched one year ago on Amazon Prime in partnership with Hyundai Motor Company.
Interact with the Harvard Professor who teaches the UNDP Accelerator Labs as a model, the Chairman of India’s agriculture and rural development bank on how they benefit from new data to inform agricultural investments and the UNDP Lesotho Lab team who work with the government of Lesotho to learn from farmer innovations and take experimentation in development to scale.
