Vestergaard Evening Reception at the United Nations
The evening event will recognize industry pioneers and global health champions in the fight to end malaria and remarks will aim to reinvigorate the global health community and recommit the world to accelerate efforts to combat malaria and other preventable infectious diseases by focusing on the urgency of the moment and the importance of unprecedented partnerships. Invited guests will include a distinguished group of executive leaders from business, global health, philanthropy and civil society together with policy leaders, diplomats and scholars from around the world.
Vestergaard was founded three decades ago with a vision to use science-based solutions to uplift marginalized populations around the world. With the support of dedicated partners and community leaders, we’ve developed life-saving products that help combat malnutrition, eradicate disease and in the case of malaria, reduce global deaths by more than half. Looking ahead, this year is one filled with important milestones—including the distribution of our one billionth bed net—an historic moment made possible by so many partners. While this moment is a celebration of science, innovation and the result of transformational partnerships that have together saved tens of millions of lives, it is also a stark reminder that we have not yet won the fight against one of the world’s oldest and deadliest diseases, something we can and must do.
