The Walk the Talk New York: Health for All Challenge returns on Sunday, 17 September 2023 to Central Park, New York to provide a healthy kickstart to the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78) high-level week.

Hosted by WHO and the New York City Mayor’s Office, and supported by a wide range of partners including the NYC Health Commission and the UHC Partnership, the second edition of the free Walk the Talk New York will also celebrate WHO’s 75th anniversary this year, and provide an opportunity to promote solidarity and get people moving for physical and mental health.

Other partners include the International Olympic Committee, Global Citizen, The Carter Center and Hip Hop Health, a NY-based health promotion body associated with the American Public Health Association.

Walk the Talk New York brings together UN delegates, Member States, athletes and the local New York community in celebration of healthy lifestyles and raise awareness on the pursuit of health for all.

Famous entertainers and athletes will be joining the event to help bring fun and healthy energy to the day. Announcements will be made soon.

Walk the Talk New York will be open to all people to run, walk and use their assistive device over an approximately 4 mile  route in Central Park route starting from the Naumburg Bandshell. Activities will commence from 7 am with the official opening scheduled for 8 am.

The first-ever edition of the Walk the Talk New York event  took place on Sunday, 22 September 2019,  and brought together around 4000 people from all over the world for a celebration of health, on the eve of the United Nations General Assembly.
