Archbishop Justin Welby welcomes this opportunity to hear insights and hopes from young peacemakers across the UN system. He will share briefly from his experience about the importance of peacemaking in leadership and then open a discussion in response to your comments and questions.

As spiritual leader of the Anglican Communion (a family of churches across 165 countries) Archbishop Justin Welby has made reconciliation one of his three personal priorities. This follows decades of his work in political peacebuilding and interfaith dialogue globally. He is the only faith leader on the UN Secretary-General’s High Level Advisory Board on Mediation and has addressed the Security Council on the future of mediation and reconciliation. Most recently, he has published a book to great acclaim called The Power of Reconciliation.
