Beyond Borders: Building a Pan-African Scientific and Innovation Network Across 55 Countries

Africa is home to a rapidly growing community of scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and young researchers. Yet scientific collaboration across the continent remains fragmented, limiting knowledge exchange and innovation. This session explores how a Pan-African scientific and innovation network connecting all 55 African countries can strengthen partnerships among universities, industry, governments, startups, and research institutions. Through discussions with researchers, policymakers, and innovation leaders, participants will examine successful collaboration models, identify barriers to cross-border cooperation, and propose practical strategies to foster youth-led innovation, technology transfer, and research partnerships. The session aims to advance a more connected African innovation ecosystem that drives sustainable development, economic growth, and global competitiveness.
