Building Crisis-Ready Coalitions: From Fragmentation to Readiness
Epidemics and pandemics present a real, immediate, and accelerating danger to human life and the global economy. The risk of another pandemic on a scale similar to COVID-19 is significant, with global losses from future pandemics estimated to be, on average, more than $700 billion per year.
As global leaders gather in New York for the UN General Assembly High-level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness, and Response, the lesson is clear: No single nation, sector, or institution can confront these emerging threats alone.
Hosted by the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, this event will explore how long-term partnerships across governments, civil society organizations, industry, regulators, research institutions, and global health organizations, are turning fragmented epidemic and pandemic activities into collective readiness.
