Clean energy career pathways for youth in the Global South
Join LinkedIn, Student Energy, and New Energy Nexus for a lively conversation about how we can connect youth with the necessary green skills, tools, and training to drive an inclusive and equitable clean energy transition in the Global South.
Insights from LinkedIn data reveal a generation that wants to work in green jobs but do not have the skills or awareness of the career pathways available to them in the clean energy sector. Less than 1 in 5 Gen Zers have a very good awareness of the different career paths to break into these jobs and yet, nearly two thirds of Gen Zs (61%) are interested in working in a green job in the next five years.
Join us for a panel discussion to explore a partnership between New Energy Nexus and Student Energy, supported by LinkedIn, which is connecting college and university students across the Global South with career pathways in clean energy startups and companies. We hope you’ll join us after the panel to network and connect with others in the green skills and youth empowerment space.
