Energy Law and Policy Symposium: Powering the Future
Vermont Law and Graduate School’s Alumni in Energy Symposium is moving to New York City’s Climate Week. VLGS is home to the country’s best energy law program. The symposium presents alumni and industry experts discussing issues affecting the clean energy transition. This year’s symposium panels are:
1. 24/7 clean electricity and how public and private procurement is changing the renewable energy credit tracking system, (moderated by Liz Lucente, Senior Sustainability Officer, Target, JD/MSEL ‘07)
2. Green finance for the clean energy transition (moderated by Frederick Morris, Managing Director, KPMG, MERL ’19), and
3. FERC Order 1920 and Electric Transmission in New York (moderated by Angela Sicker, JD/MERL, ’19).
Keynote Speaker – TBD
The symposium will take place on Thursday, September 26th from 12:30 pm to 6 pm at the NYC offices of Bracewell, LLP. The symposium will also be available via livestream. A networking reception will follow the symposium. CLE credits will be available to symposium attendees. This event is registration capped and advance registration is strongly encouraged.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Kevin B. Jones Fund, which supports the academic and professional development of Vermont Law and Graduate School energy students.
