Exploring the Implications of the High-Level Political Declaration on NCDs and Mental Health: Addressing mental health needs of young people

As the world prepares for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Africa stands at a pivotal moment in shaping its Global Health Architecture. Our continent is navigating shifting geopolitical dynamics, climate challenges, funding constraints, and a growing mental health crisis—particularly among its greatest asset: young people.

The session will showcase practical country-level responses—such as Ethiopia’s approach to mental health integration—as a springboard for reimagining health narratives and co-creating solutions tailored for Africa.
