Food, Festivities, and a Fireside Chat: A Photographic Journey through Forestry Carbon Projects

Join us for an enlightening fireside conversation that brings together leading experts in forest conservation to share their powerful experiences with carbon projects. The urgency of the climate crisis requires us to utilize every tool at our disposal to combat its worsening effects. While carbon credits aren’t a magic solution, they’re a tool that can create a tangible and verifiable impact today.

Some of the most threatened forests in the world come under protection from carbon credits, yet market critics continue to call into question their credibility and effectiveness amidst verification and monitoring challenges, and concerns surrounding their impact on local and indigenous communities.

This unique forum will highlight stories from project visits around the globe, underscoring the transformative nature of carbon credits – when done correctly – both for local communities and the preservation of biodiversity.

Following the panel concluding at 7:15 p.m., we’ll invite questions for the panelists and host a networking session with light bites and refreshments provided. Please register for this event by September 18 as space is limited.
