From Investment to Impact: Delivering Results for Food Security at Scale
As El Nino-driven extreme weather events and economic volatility threatens food security and farmer livelihoods around the world, there is an urgent need to translate investment into measurable, sustained impact at country level.
The Global Flagship Initiative for Food Security, Action Against Hunger and the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program are pleased to co-host “From Investment to Impact: Delivering Results for Food Security at Scale”, a high-level roundtable on the margins of the 81st UN General Assembly.
This roundtable will convene senior representatives from national governments, global development institutions and funds, UN agencies, civil society and the private sector to examine how innovative financing mechanisms, coordinated platforms, and country led pipelines are translating into tangible results on the ground, and what it will take to accelerate and scale these efforts.
Against the backdrop of major global milestones—including COP processes on climate, biodiversity, and desertification, as well as ongoing discussions on development finance reform—this gathering presents a strategic opportunity to position food security investments as a global public good that delivers returns across nutrition, biodiversity, stability, and economic growth.
