Her Power Forum @ UNGA80

As the international community turns its attention to the 80th U.N. General Assembly, women’s rights are facing renewed pressure. Despite progress at CSW69, which included a recommitment to the Beijing Declaration, funding for gender equality initiatives is on the decline, and women remain underrepresented in leadership positions. As resources diminish or are redirected, the same happens to the political will to embed gender perspectives into policymaking — even though both are key to achieving inclusive growth, peace and security, and sustainable development.

Foreign Policy’s Her Power Forum @ UNGA80 will build upon the conversations and momentum of CSW69 by bringing together leaders from multilateral institutions, national governments, the private sector, and civil society who are working at the forefront of these issues. With five years remaining and SDG 5 still out of reach, Her Power will elevate new ideas to the stage to accelerate progress.

Registration will open in September. Sign up to be the first to know when it goes live.
