Imperial is the UK’s leading university for frontier technologies and number #1 for research impact, with an exceptional entrepreneurial culture, a focus on deep science and innovation, and strong ties to industry. Imperial is proud to have recently been ranked 2nd in the world in the QS World University Rankings.

Our community of students, researchers and alumni are uniquely placed to deliver the solutions we need to turn the vision of zero pollution into reality. This startup showcase brings together five of Imperial’s graduate and staff founders who are at the forefront of clean tech, ready to present their innovative solutions for a climate-resilient future. Hosted by Professor Mary Ryan, Vice-Provost for Research and Enterprise and Lead for Imperial’s Transition to Zero Pollution initiative, with opening remarks from President, Professor Hugh Brady, this event will feature the following cutting-edge startups:

• Notpla – A London-based sustainable packaging startup that creates seaweed and plant-based alternatives to single-use plastics. Their technology has reached full industrialization, with millions of units sold across nine EU countries and the US. Notpla is a winner of the Prince of Wales’ Earthshot Prize.

• ToffeeX – Leading the way in physics-driven generative design used by the world’s leading engineering organizations to accelerate their path to sustainability. • Team Repair – On a mission to give all children the confidence to pursue a career in STEM whilst also tackling the e-waste crisis by teaching electronics repair.

• Cyanoskin – Innovators of a living paint designed to transform buildings into carbon dioxide-absorbing structures, reducing emissions and addressing urban pollution

• Multus Biotechnology Ltd – at the forefront of a transformative movement in food production. Dedicated to revolutionizing the way we nourish ourselves for a sustainable future, their primary objective is to make cultivated meat—an environmentally friendly choice—accessible to all.

This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in London’s clean tech ecosystem, network with Imperial’s researchers and innovators, and learn more about the pioneering work being done at Imperial’s Grantham Institute, Enterprise Lab, and across its broader community. Don’t miss this chance to engage with the future of clean technology!
