Infection Prevention Control and Antimicrobial stewardship: from policy to implementation at the point of care
The Sultanate of Oman is hosting a high-level meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) that will discuss how to strengthen Infection prevention and control (IPC) and antimicrobial stewardship (AMS). Such an approach is supported by a strong consensus among stakeholders and based evidence on the effectiveness of these interventions and that show a high level of return on investment. This event is an opportunity to accelerate political action on AMR with a focus on human health and emphasizes the need to augment current policies and accelerate translation of best practices at the point of care. This event is co-sponsored by Egypt, United States, Germany, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Switzerland. Ministers and heads of delegation will attend the event in addition to key technical experts in the field.
