Intersection of Global & Domestic Health – Interconnectedness is Key to a Healthier World!
Abstract: This session will delineate experiences of subject matter experts on how global and domestic health are interconnected. By sharing a state health department perspective as it became 1st U.S. state health agency to incorporate Global & One Health into its transformative work, presenters will describe journeys to better health ecosystems. In 2022, the Washington State Department of Health launched its Transformational Plan (https://doh.wa.gov/about-us/transformational-plan) centered on its cornerstone values of equity, innovation, & engagement.
