Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress – Global Launch of the Future of International Cooperation Report 2025

The International Peace Institute (IPI), in partnership with the Doha Forum, the Stimson Center, and the Global Institute for Strategic Research, is pleased to invite you to a policy forum on Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress.

This UNGA@80 side event will spotlight the launch of the Future of International Cooperation Report 2025 (FIC’25), which focuses on advancing justice beyond promises to concrete progress.

The discussion will focus on global and regional collective action to close justice gaps within and between countries. It will also highlight bold policy and institutional reform proposals aimed at reducing inequality, underdevelopment, and injustice. The dialogue will contribute directly to preparations for the Second World Summit for Social Development (4–6 November 2025, Doha) and enrich debates at the Doha Forum 2025 (6–7 December).

Speaking to the World Social Summit’s themes — poverty eradication, decent work and full employment, and social inclusion — as well as follow-through to the Summit of the Future and the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, FIC’25 examines how to advance the political-judicial, socioeconomic, and environmental dimensions of justice.

We hope you will join us for this event.
