Keynotes and Panels on Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities: Achieving SDG11 Together
UN SDG 11 aims to make cities safe, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable. Increasing the supply of affordable housing is fundamental to achieving these goals, as approximately 3 billion people, 40% of the global population, will need access to housing by 2030 according to UN-Habitat. This equates to a demand for 96,000 new accessible and affordable housing units every day.
To tackle this global challenge, new innovative approaches and partnerships are needed from both the public and private sectors. During the 79th UN General Assembly, join BCIU in partnership with Nuveen, for “Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities: Achieving UN SDG 11 Together” where we will convene senior-level international policy and business leaders to assess if we are on the right track to achieve SDG 11, implications for climate change, and what more can be done to achieve greater equity and access to affordable housing.
Speakers will be announced shortly and participants will include senior global government officials and executives.
