Pfizer’s Albert Bourla on AI, health, and innovation in a changing world

On Tuesday, September 22, at 3:15 p.m. ET, the Atlantic Council will host Albert Bourla, chairman and CEO of Pfizer, for an Atlantic Council Front Page conversation as part of our AC in New York programming on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Artificial intelligence is transforming healthcare and accelerating scientific discovery, with the potential to reshape how new medicines are developed, how healthcare is delivered, and how health challenges are addressed around the world. At the same time, realizing AI’s potential requires responsible approaches to data, innovation, privacy, and security.

In this conversation, Bourla will discuss how AI is changing drug discovery and healthcare, the importance of access to health data, and the evolving policy and regulatory landscape surrounding emerging technologies. He will also explore the role of business and government in ensuring that innovation keeps pace with technological change while strengthening public trust and global health outcomes.
