Reimagining Primary Health Care with Human-Centered Design

Center for Indonesia’s Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI), an Indonesian-based non-profit organisation that aims to promote health sector development and strengthen health systems through research, advocacy and participatory interventions, convene health alliances in a 79th UNGA side event to share insights and experiences on adopting human-centred design (HCD) in primary health care.

During the event, speakers will showcase real-world examples where patient-centred approaches have led to significant improvements in health outcomes at scale. Addressing obstacles to the adoption of HCD is another critical component of the discussion. By openly discussing these challenges, together we can ensure that HCD can be scaled and sustained in diverse contexts.

Objectives:

1. Introduce HCD in PHC: Explain the principles of HCD and its practicality in enhancing healthcare service.

2. Demonstrate New Tools and Technologies: Showcase innovative tools and technologies that support health workforce in their roles and discuss the role of policymakers in facilitating such innovations within the PHC system.

3. Deliberate Future Directions: Discuss the future direction of human-centred programs in the context of evolving healthcare needs, providing a platform for participants to share knowledge, experiences, and insights on addressing HCD in PHC.
