Role of Science Diplomacy in Transducing Boundaries to Respond to Emerging Global Health Challenges

Developing countries grapple with significant challenges due to the double burden of communicable and non-communicable disease. Examining the distribution of the burden of different communicable and non-communicable diseases can present proper evidence to policymakers to deal with health inequality. Despite accelerated progress in reducing the global burden of disease in the past decade, the world fails to provide the good health facilities to all especially to the people of low socio-economic backgrounds. Science diplomacy can help in an increasingly interconnected world, where health threats recognize no borders, it plays a critical role in facilitating international cooperation and coordination. By bridging diverse stakeholders, including scientists, policymakers, diplomats, and healthcare professionals, science diplomacy enables the exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise to effectively address global health challenges. There are various policies in place around the world to achieve the SDG-3, ‘Universal Good Health and Well-being’. Early theragnostic can serve as an effective strategy to reduce the global health burden, it will also be able to significantly improve the healthful lifestyle and well-being of individuals and communities around the world. Scientists and policymakers can work together to address common challenges and foster mutual understanding and cooperation. Conclusively, it has the potential to stimulate a more comprehensive and collaborative approach to science diplomacy, helping to build stronger relationships between nations and contribute to global progress.
