Small Step, Big Impact
This session aims to send a message that you are never too young to make a meaningful difference in the world. It’s not about big resources or perfect plans. It’s about curiosity, creativity, and courage. It’s about taking the first step no matter how small and believing that your idea, your voice, and your effort matter. The session includes a keynote speech from an expert, youth presentations, a panel discussion, and an interactive Q&A, encouraging dialogue and idea sharing.
This session aim to send a message that you are never too young to make a meaningful difference in the world. It is led by high school student (& a presenter at Kuwait National TV) Reema Jafar, highlights how small efforts by young people can lead to big changes. It showcases inspiring stories of students tackling important issues in health, technology, climate change, and education, proving that you don’t need big resources to make a difference, you just need passion, creativity, and courage. Students from high school and undergraduate levels are invited to submit their projects and initiatives. Ten selected presenters will share how their small ideas, from raising awareness about antibiotic resistance to using AI for learning or leading environmental campaigns, have created positive impacts in their communities. The session includes a keynote speech from an expert, student presentations, a panel discussion, and an interactive Q&A, encouraging dialogue and idea sharing. Designed for students, educators, parents, policymakers, NGOs, and development partners, the session aims to inspire youth to take action, showing that every small step matters. A white paper summarizing the session’s insights and outcomes will be submitted to the UNGA Science Summit organizers to help amplify youth-led innovations worldwide. Can small actions really change the world? In this we attempt to answer this question with a confident “yes.” The session shows how even the smallest ideas, when driven by passion and purpose, can lead to big, meaningful change. In this session, we will give chance to young people to present in this big forum to explore how young people even while still in school/ universities are solving real world problems in areas like health, technology, climate change, and education. From studying antibiotic-resistant bacteria to experimenting with artificial intelligence, from starting book clubs to inspire reading to raising awareness about sustainability small efforts by students are already making a difference. This session is not about big resources or perfect plans. It’s about curiosity, creativity, and courage. It’s about taking the first step no matter how small and believing that your idea, your voice, and your effort matter. Whether you dream of becoming a scientist, a teacher, a coder, or just want to make a difference in your community, this session will help you see how possible it really is. You’ll leave with ideas, motivation, and the message that you are never too young to start making the world a better place.
