Sustainability Summit NYC

In September, policymakers, international organizations, and the private sector will all be present in New York with a global audience watching. The Consulate General of Denmark in New York is hosting the annual Sustainability Summit in relation to the opening week of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Summit of the Future, and NYC Climate Week.

For this year’s Sustainability Summit, the Consulate General of Denmark in New York, Danish Industry, and the Danish Chamber of Commerce are partnering to create a strong Danish presence as well as a space for global discussions on realization of the 2030 agenda.

The private sector is crucial in executing the policies decided by governments around the world in order to reach the common goals of a sustainable future. Therefore, we partner with more than 30 organizations within energy, life science, food and agriculture, tech, and design.

The Summit is a global platform where public and private sector stakeholders can meet and discuss solutions to pressing topics related to sustainability. The goals are common, but it requires a collective effort from all countries and industries to accelerate the transition.

We therefore invite an audience of global decision-makers from governments, NGOs, civil society, and the private sector to join us in this important discussion and to identify actionable solutions to the world’s pressing challengers.
