The Next Architecture of Philanthropy in Latin America

This conversation aims to bring together philanthropic leaders from Latin America and the U.S —foundations, PSOs, and ecosystem‑building organizations—to examine how the philanthropic architecture of the region must evolve to meet today’s complex challenges. The session will explore what capacities, institutions, and collaborative mechanisms are needed to strengthen locally led development, protect civic space, and enable philanthropy to play a more strategic, connected, and future‑ready role.

By convening actors who shape, fund, and support the ecosystem, the discussion seeks to identify shared priorities, clarify where the current architecture is falling short, and surface opportunities for collective action across borders and sectors.

The main question this session will address:

What would a more coherent, resilient, and enabling philanthropic architecture for Latin America look like—and what roles must foundations and PSOs play to build it?

Participants: Leaders from philanthropic organizations working in Latin America, private foundations, PSOs and ecosystem-building organizations working in or with Latin America.
