The Power of Welcome: An IRC Reception

A breather during the busiest week of the year.

Somewhere between your fourth panel and your third espresso, take a beat.

Join the International Rescue Committee (IRC) for a reception with our team and corporate and foundation partners during UNGA and Climate Week, featuring remarks from Ciarán Donnelly, IRC’s Senior Vice President, Crisis Response, Recovery & Development.

UNGA week asks a lot of everyone — panels, briefings, side sessions, a calendar that runs from breakfast to well past dinner. This is deliberately not another one of those. Beyond a few words from Ciarán, there’s no programming, no presentation — just light bites, drinks, and real conversation. Come for the full two hours, or stop by on your way to dinner.

The IRC has called New York home since 1933. At the center of our mission is welcome — helping people whose lives have been upended by conflict, disaster, and the climate crisis to survive, recover, and rebuild. As colleagues, partners, and friends travel to New York this week, we’d like to extend that same welcome to you.
